Excellent service and solid food. I had the corned beef hash and eggs which had the salty goodness you'd expect from corned beef.
Food was decent. I think the croissant was a nice texture but the cereal could be a little more crispy.
Delicious food, nice portions I enjoyed the veggie skillet. Service was efficient, however, the waitstaff needs reminding to refill water glasses or at least ask more frequently for a large party of six adults! The restaurant ambiance is very New York meets Europe. Outdoor patio seating highly recommended in seasonal weather!
Terrific place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Great food, service and location. I found out Nookies has been in business for 51 years. The reason behind the odd name is the neighborhood had so many drinking establishment that the area needed a breakfast nook. Eventually the name Nookies.
My girlfriend and I went right when they opened at 7. We were immediately sat and our server immediately gave us water. The restaurant is very clean, and the menu isn't too big which I liked. I ended up getting the Denver Omelette with a bagel and cream cheese. It was very good and so cheesy. My girlfriend got the French Toast with Chocolate on top and Strawberries and Blueberries. It was a 10/10 She also got a cold brew coffee that did not disappoint! I highly recommend coming if you are looking for a nice easy breakfast place next to the chicago history museum.
Went at 11am on Saturday so crowds were expected but my wait time for a table of 2 was about 15minutes. The service for the food was exceptional slow knowing it would be awhile for our food. Our food was very good but again took an exceptionally long time to get it. New menu, new prices. Getting more expensive here but decent value for what you get.
I recently had brunch at Nookies and got a chance to sit on their patio. This was a Chicago goal of mine just since I always walk past it and it looks so nice. Everything lived up to the hype including the service and the food. I ordered the green goddess skillet which was yummy. I do wish I was able to try a handful of other menu items. I will have to go back again to try lunch and dinner there!
Atmosphere: clean, bright, welcoming with a touch of modern! Service: quick, friendly and they have a dedicated person just to refill your coffee and water! Food: super gender portions, well prepared and tasty. The 3 egg omelet reads more like 6 eggs = consider sharing...! Wish they had a place like this in the Bay Area.
